What we eat shows in our skin, especially since our skin is the largest organ in/on our bodies. So it surely pays to eat the proper foods to enhance our skin. We need to get the proper vitamins and minerals so that we will have lovely skin.

Some of the good foods are fruits, berries and vegetables. They are loaded with anti-oxidents that can neutralize the damage we do to our skin. Our skin needs Vitamin D which we can get from the sun. Too much sun isn’t good though so we need to eat leafy greens, milk and fortified eggs. The next nutrient we need are the Omega-3’s we can get from fatty fish like sardines, salmon, tilapia and cod. We can also get them from flaxseed oil too. The glucosomine you might take for Arthritis is also good for skin. It helps to keep our skin elastic.

The foods that are bad for our skin are the refined sugar products. They make our skin prone to wrinkles. Excessive alcohol also can lead to broken capillaries in your cheeks. Some spicy foods also will contribute to this too. Both alcohol and spicy foods can aggravate rosacea of you have it.

Take care of your skin since it shows.
